The
Bahamas is a 700 island, 100,000-sq-mile archipelago of islands that
extend over 500 miles of some of the clearest water in the world.
These islands range from uninhabited cays and large rocks to bustling
tourist meccas. The population is about 300,000. The main islands of
the Bahamas is where the party
action takes place. Providence/Paradise Island and Grand Bahama Island
are the main islands and have the most activities. The main activities
in
the Bahamas are gambling and partying.
The Bahamas has four large casinos. Two on New Providence Island, the
Crystal
Palace Casino at Cable Beach and the other, The Atlantis
Casino is on Paradise Island.
On Grand Bahama Island, there is The Royal
Oasis Casino in Freeport and Our
Lucaya Casino in Lucaya of course.
All casinos offer a wide variety of games, including
baccarat, black-jack, roulette, dice and slot machines.
For the non gamblers, the casinos
also offer brilliant shows mostly with a native flair. The most popular
of these shows is Paradise Island's Le Cabaret Theater.
In between the casinos, are numerous bars of every flavor
as well as night clubs which play everything from funky disco, to calypso,
reggae and the latest dance hits. These clubs are jumping till
early morning.
The
Zoo Nightclub is located in Nassau on West Bay Street. This club is
a popular disco with themed bars,
a VIP lounge and a Sports bar. They also have a café that is
open late to satisfy late night hunger of crowds.

Sunday through Wednesday, $40 Thursday through Saturday, $10 tourist

Club 601 is located at 601 East Bay Street
in Nassau. Club 601 is free for ladies every Thursday night until
11:00 p.m. and
then is only $5. There is a happy hour on Friday's from 5:00 p.m.
to 8:00 p.m. There is a $5 cover charge.

Wednesday, open other nights 5:00 p.m. until…Cost: $15.00, Friday
$20.00 after 8:00 p.m., tourists with taxi passes $5.00
Club
Waterloo is located
at East Bay Street in Nassau. This popular disco doesn’t close
until 4:00 a.m. They have live music on the weekends.

and Saturday, $30 (includes two drinks), Sunday through Thursday, $25
(includes two drinks), only a $5 cover charge with a Visitor’s
Pass (includes one drink)
