Beachtropic Ft Lauderdale

Ft Lauderdale was once the spring break hotspot for college students. But, all this came to an end in 1985 when wild partying and excessive partying overwhelmed the city. The town put an end to the wild partying and returned the city to a more tradational party and vacational spot. That does not mean that Ft Lauderdale has lost it's reputation as a place to get freaky. It's just done with less people. Ft Lauderdale offers a vibrant party scene, lots of places to eat and affordable hotels for the young. Let's start with the club scene. Beach Bums is a multilevel dance club that features top 40 dance music. It also has a poolside bar. Beach Bums is located at 219 Fort Lauderdale Beach Boulevard.

In one word, the Star Bar Nightclub is HUGE. This outdoor nightclub has 10,000 square feet of lights, a booming sound system and several refilling stations. This club is located on 100 SW 3rd Avenue.

The Elbo Room was established in 1938 and has been a Ft. Lauderdale landmark for decades.

The Zu Bar is one of Las Olas Riverfront's newest nightclubs. This hot spot features indoor and outdoor bars, massive sound system, and an exclusive VIP room. It's located at 300 SW 1st Ave.

Club Venu strives to be the hottest club in town by offering the party goer to hear, see and enjoy up and coming local DJ's and artists. They also bring in established musical acts. It's located at 100 SW 3rd Ave.

We've listed a few hotels that we think are quite nice and affordable.

The Beach Plaza Hotel is an oceanfront property located directly on A1A just across the street from the town's world famous beach. Many of the hotel's rooms have views that are just sweet and there is a poolside tropical garden. The hotel is locatied in the heart of the beach area makes this hotel a great choice for those who want to to be in the thick of the action.

The Great Escape hotel is an affordable tropical hideaway near the beach across the bridge from Fort Lauderdale. The rooms are clean and relatively comfortable rooms. Prices are not bad. This joint has been recently renovated is set amidst the palms in a private poolside courtyard. It's not far from the beach and all the charm of Lauderdale-by-the-Sea.

The Sans Souci Hotel is located in the southern tip of Fort Lauderdale right on the beach. This joint has clean and fully furnished apartments. The proces are pretty decent too.
