Oh Venice Beach, You haven't seen it all until you've visited this hot spot.
There is a three mile beach but that is not what attracts visitors. There is
no beach on the planet like Venice Beach. Yeah, other beaches have sand,
sunshine and surf. But do they have a three-ring urban street circus? Do they
have trash talking hoopsters, preening bodybuilders, sand sculptors and
scores of freaks? We don't think so. The Boardwalk is a virtual sidewalk
circus, a walking skin show.
Finding accomodations in Venice Beach is not hard. There are some pretty good
places to rest your weary head. LA is not far away if you want to extend your
search as well.
The Baja Hotel is built on top
of the Baja
Cantina and is steps away from the
ocean. They also have a swim up pool. The Cadillac Hotel is located right on
the Venice boardwalk and is pretty reasonable.
If you want to sample the nightlife, have we got news for you. The freaks come
out at night as we say. Venice Beach and the Los Angeles area is at your feet.
We'll concentrate on the Venice Beach area though. The hottest club is the Circle
Bar. If you want to score, this is the place to be. Across the
street is an upscale Irish bar called Scruffy
O'Shea's. Another sweet mingling spot is James Beach.
There are many restaurants and fast food joints in Venice to suit your palate.
Check out the Baja Cantina. This
is an authentic Mexican restaurant. The Sidewalk Cafe is one of Venice Beach's
popular eating joints. Also, check out the Mercedes
Grille for caribbean fare.
